How to Make Raw Food Chili

A raw food diet is a plant-based diet that promotes uncooked and unprocessed foods, such as organic fruits, vegetables and nuts. Made from living foods and prepared without heat, raw food chili is one of the many delicious meals that can be enjoyed on a raw food diet. This tasty meatless chili recipe is cost effective, exceptionally nutritious and easy to prepare. Add this to my Recipe Box.

    Rinse all vegetables thoroughly. Place mushrooms, celery, onion, and bell pepper in a large bowl.

    Place selected nut (almond or pecans) and carrots in food processor fitted with an S-blade and process until the mixture is of a chunky consistency. Stop occasionally to scrap the sides of the bowl with the spatula. Add the mixture to the bowl with mushrooms, celery, onions and bell peppers.

    Blend remaining ingredients until smooth. Add to bowl and mix all ingredients until smooth and well blended.

    Store in refrigerator and serve at room temperature or warm in oven. Do not heat above 117 degrees. Raw food chili will keep in the refrigerator in a sealed container for up to five days. This recipe serves six.
